Grassroots Endorsements
AAMP is proud to run a grassroots endorsement process. Our Illinois and Ohio endorsement committees are made up of volunteer community members who are in alignment with AAMP’s values and contribute to AAMP’s grassroots voter outreach work.
The Endorsement Committee develops all candidate questionnaires, participates in endorsement interviews, and makes endorsement recommendations that are then ratified by AAMP’s Board of Directors. After endorsements are finalized, the Endorsement Committee provides input on the field plan for the election cycle and determines the level of support that each endorsed candidate receives during that cycle, in addition to leading and participating in voter outreach work. Throughout the year, Endorsement Committee members also participate in political education workshops and skills trainings.
