AAMP Wisconsin
Building Asian American Political Power in Wisconsin
Who We Are
AAMP Wisconsin is the Wisconsin chapter of Asian American Midwest Progressives (AAMP). Our mission is to build power through collective advocacy and electoral organizing to achieve racial equity. AAMP endorses progressive candidates, mobilizes Asian American voters, and holds elected officials accountable through issue-based campaigns.
Our goal is to ensure that Asian American voices help shape Wisconsin's political future, not just during elections, but in the decisions and policies that affect our communities every day.
How We Got Here
AAMP Wisconsin builds on years of grassroots organizing and advocacy across the state. Asian American community members and organizers have mobilized voters, responded to anti-Asian racism, fought for greater representation, and helped advance the teaching of Asian American and Hmong American history in Wisconsin public schools.
These efforts have demonstrated the power of collective action. They've also highlighted the need for sustained political organizing that connects community priorities to elections, policy decisions, and accountability.
Through AAMP Wisconsin, we're building on those relationships and experiences while connecting our work to a broader movement for racial equity and political power across the Midwest.
What We Do
We work to:
Mobilize Asian American voters through culturally relevant outreach, voter education, and language access.
Support aligned candidtes who reflect our values and are committed to representing our communities.
Advance community priorities, including meaningful language access, immigrant rights, and equitable public policies.
Build lasting political power by developing community leadership, strengthening relationships, and holding elected officials accountable.
